End-to-End Data Management To-Go
FactoryEye is a ready-to-go end-to-end data management solution for medium-sized manufacturers that alleviates the need for special expertise or heavy IT investment. It combines out-of-the-box functionality with the flexibility of extending and tailoring the product. Hosted in the Microsoft Azure Cloud and secured and managed by Magic, FactoryEye is architectured to be future-proof, flexible, and easy to deploy.
Edge Component
The FactoryEye integration functionality is built on Magic’s proven low-code integration technology, which has been deployed and enhanced for decades, helping thousands of companies around the globe connect their systems. Pre-built connectors exist for most common enterprise applications– and a connection builder simplifies creating new connections.
A secure, low-footprint edge component connects to your systems to both collect data and provide feedback. This could be, for example, sensor data flowing through an Open Platform Communications (OPC) server, a direct Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) feed, data from a historian or data from quality control or maintenance management systems.
Optionally, data from any corporate IT system may be securely integrated into a central location with information relevant to both the shop floor and the broader business. Examples of this include work-order and bill of materials (BOM) data in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, product data in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, purchasing data from procurement applications, or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data.
Data Lake
FactoryEye performs high-speed ingestion of all your real-time or batch process data, structured and unstructured, into the ‘left side’ of its data lake.
All data is ingested schema-less, and meta-data is used to classify disparate data and put it into the proper processing bucket using customer-specific logic powered by a powerful low-code processing engine.
The highly configurable, and per-customer mapping mechanism cleans, enriches, and contextualizes the data to create value-added actionable insights.
The processed, actionable, data is stored in the ‘right side’ of the lake and made available through an actionable data layer and user-configured data cubes that enable a ‘build once and access many times’ approach for BI and other uses.
The actionable data layer uses data-specific data stores, including sensor-centric time series, high-speed digital twin data, structured data store for general business information, and a document data store.
Third-party data consumption is enabled with APIs and call-back update services.
Workspace
The FactoryEye Workspace is a browser-based portal application providing role-based access control to deliver each user with the reports, dashboards, and applications relevant to their specific role and location. Using your existing SSO mechanism (such as OAuth2, LDAP, Azure AD) for authentication, FactoryEye simplifies user log-in – with no additional password management.
The workspace provides a dynamic interface that adapts to all device types and screen sizes.
Workspace Applications
The FactoryEye Workspace includes analytics Insights applications such as Power BI dashboards and reports, alerts and notifications, and an MES Insights module for dedicated factory floor monitoring and optimization. Almost any applications your teams use can be integrated into the workspace to make the workspace the single access point for all systems your people use.
The Digital Forms application, replaces paper forms with electronic ones. This allows people from across the organization, partners and customers to manually enter data. This digital data collection makes processing immediate and enhances data accuracy.
